Letter to the Editor
Mr. Editor:
Several times in the past I have
tried to persuade our Town Council
to replace trees where old ones have
been cut out. Again I make the sug-
gestion to plant trees, Make Diagon-
al Road, from the Corner of the Ar-
ena to Main Street an ,avenee, and
commemorate the King's jubilee by
planting trees net Saturday under
proper supervision and give a day's:
work to ten or twelve unemployed.

IN RHUBARB
Canadian forted rhubarb which is
now available on the market may be
used in various ways in the household.
For the purpose ot cooking and can-
ning, the fresh e,•ming stalks, partic-
ularly the first cutting, have better
flavour and colour, and are more ten-
der and juicy than the older ones. As
the rhubarb grows older, the steins
become more acidau mar ud.
