The S. S. of the Presbyterian Church
are holding their's on Wednesday ev
ening. On Friday night the Langside
Young People are putting on a pro-
gram in the Hall for charity purpos-
es. On Thursday the pupils of S. S.
No. 14, West WAwanosh and the pm.
pits of S.S. No 10 are haying their
!concert in their respective schools;
;quite a Lan' are planning to attend the
'Christmas Concert in Wingham Town
Hall on Friday night.
On account of the storms and cold
weather at the beginning of last week
the W.C.T.U. meeting was not held,
but wilrbe held this Tuesday at Mrs.
Gillespie's home.
Mr. Chester Coulter returned from
Hensall last week and lea Alec Coul-
ter left with his uncle, Mr. Aldin Pure
don to draw Christmas trees.
Quite a number dr men from the
4th'of Kinloss' were in Walkerton for
a few days to be witnesses for Mr.
Frank Rising in his case against the
telephone co.
Quite a large crowd were present at
the •United Church on Friday even-
ing last when they held their Christ -
alas Concert, which was much enjoy-
ed by all. After the concert, they all
repaired to the basement, where they
took part in community games. Lunch
was then served. The Sunday School
children they received their candies
and all took part in a peanut scram-

Mrs. Ab. McQuillan was in Bruss-
els last •Friday attending the funeral
of her aunt, Mrs. Thomas McIntyre,
formerly Annie McIntosh, of Kinloss,
who died very suddenly from a heart
attack. Interment took place in Tees -
water Cemetery.
