tion of a state of emergency to make regulations restricting the use of
electricity as follows:
Regulations Made By The Commission Under
The Power Commission Act
1. No consumer shall use Electric Power or any part thereof for the
following purposes:
cal Lighting of interior or exterior signs;
(b) interior or exterior lighting of show window;
1c1 interior and exterior outline ornamental lighting:
td1 interior or exterior lighting for decorative or advertising purposes;
ie) out -door and flood -lighting for white -ways and for parking lots, used car lots-, service sta-
tions and out -door industrial premises above a minimum permissible only between
sunset and sunrise, as follows:
11) parking lots and used -car lots, 2 watts per 1.00 square feet of space only while
open for business:
111) - service stations 100 watts per_gasoline pump standard, exclusive of lights in
pumps, and only while the service station is open for business: and
1111) out -door industrial premises, am)unt necessary for working areas only;
if) theoperationof air heaters, electric grates or electric boilers used for heating purposes in
stores or offices;
l:) street lighting between sunrise and sunset:
(h) lighting of marquees or sidewalk canopies except 2 watts per square foot of floor space
or sidewalk area covered by the marquee or canopy between sunset and sunrise; -
(i) lighting of entrance or exits in excess of 5 watts per foot of width of the entranee or
exit; and
t j) lighting of interiors of business premises after cessation of business with the public ex,
