Funeral Of The Late John Kaiser
Public funeral services for the
late John Kaiser were held in the
Hensall United Church on Thursday
afternoon'at 2 o'clock conducted by
Rev. R. A. Brook. Mrs. Maude Red-
den sang a solo entitled "Beyond the
Sunset". The pallbearers were
Messrs E. L. Mickle, Geo. Hess,
James Smillie. 'Hensall, Hugh Berry,
1 confining it to a few brief remarks
about the order of service as written'
`and arranged by a native Indian
woman, Mrs. Ferguson then review-
ed the eider of service mentioning
how delighted and unusual it was
and pointed out highlights in Mrs.
Cabeb's allegory. Mrs. Cabeb is truly
a Christian. Definitely she has
grasped the full import of Christ's
,orris "Go ye into all the world and
Preach the gospel". In her prayers,
Jove and concern Mrs. Cabeb embra
'es all mankind. Her concern is glo-
bal. How do we of so-called Christ
ian Canada measure up? A chal.
lenge goes out to all women every-
where and rightly so for no nation
rises above her womanhood. Are the
women of Hensall community ready
to accept the challenge and by their
love and concern create an oasis on
the Highways of our God or will
you so narrow that concern so as to
create a spiritual desert?

MUCH SNOW HAS FALLEN
DURING FEBRUARY
Provincial, county and municipal
snowplows are all a.t work clearing
roads. February has been marked by
a series of storms which filled in
highways almost as soon as they
'were cleared. The snow has become
piled so high along country roads
that only the more powerful types of
'plow make much headway. Rural mail
'drivers in many sections were unable
to make their rounds for several days.
It is reported the plows have done
good work opening roads where there
has been special nec1Asity due to
sickness or emergency.
