There were 250 delegates registered, Mrs. T,13, Staffordf 'Detroit Detroit compliment- ed us on the uniting of our Ifonces and hoped for the day that in the States they might be one and said that perhaps, as a• little child, we might 'lead then,, In reply to criti- cisms which have been levelled at missionaries by 'prominent men, Mrs, McGillivray declared that .contentions were quickly overcome by results of 'missionary work.' Nothing but Christ , can satisfy the longings of the world Yours men an omen to carryo Young. and n the work are to be !found in the church. ,Seven young women have been set apart for Special work, We have difficulties to overcome. We must increase our membership, there are 3715,000 families on the roil of the United Church but only 200,000 wo- men were members of the W.M,S., not yet one woman in every family. Mrs. G.
