Hogg, who with his sister,is remov-
ing to Seaforth, and presented them

The many friends of Mrs. John
Skalitzky, of Leadbury, will be pleas-

serious attack of the "flu."
John McDonald started to run his
sawmill this week as he has a large
stock of logs to put through. •
Garage Burned.—The garage at the
Manse belonging to the property of
Duff's 'congregation, was burned
down on Monday evening, March
26th. The origin of the fire is un
known as it started in the hay loft. It
was- covered by insurance in the Mc-
Killop Mufual and Howick Co.
Rev. Mr. Chandler will, be a'mcm-
ber of the next' assembly from Mait-
land. Presbytery meeting, which will
be held in Sault Ste. Marie, in June.
Nobody would imagine that our

er, was in the 79th year of his age, by

The annual meeting to arrange for
the school fair was held in Walton
school on March 21st. There were a
number present. S. B. Stothers, ag-
ricultural
representative, as at the
meeting and gave quite an interest-
ing talk which we are sure should be
helpful to all who heard him.
Serious Fire. A serious conflagra-
tion occurred at the farm belonging
to Walter Davidson, just east of our
village on Saturday afternoon, Mar:
31st, when his farm dwelling house
was totally destroyed by fire, together
with the contents. The origin of the
fire is unknown,
