Sucker fishing is now the order of
the day for our local sports.
A quiet wedding was solemnized
at the United Church manse at high
noon on Saturday when Hazel Iso-
bel, second daughter of Mr, and Mrs.
!Albert Morenz of Dashwood, was
united in (marriage to John Herbert,
eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cor-
bett of Hay. The Rev. Arthur Sinclair
officiated. 'Tlhe young couple were at-
tended by . Miss Blanche Morena
and Mr. Roy ,Beate of Dashwood. The
bride was charmingly gowned in a
dress of royal blue crepe ,with white
trimmings and accessories to match
and carried a corsage of carnation,
sweet pea and fern and for travelling
a suit of b1:ne crepe with trimmings.
The gro'om's gift to the bride was a
[bracelet with pearl setting, to the
(bridesmaid a string of pearls and to
the groomsman a tie ,pin. After the
ceremony a wedding dinner was serv-
ed at the bride's home after which
Mr. and Mrs. Corbett left by motor
for London, Stratford, Strathroy and
other points.
!Services were largely attended in
our local churches an Sunday last.

Death of Thos. Hemphill. The
death occurred here an Monday even-
ing of Mr. Thos. Hemphill at the
Thorne of his daughter, Mrs, Cornelius
'Cook, - after a lingersng illness.. The
deceased was born in Ireland 85
years ago and came to this country
when a child, and resided in this dis-
trict up till some 15 years ago when
he moved to Detroit. After the d'ea'th
of his wife abbot a year ago 'he came
to Hensall to live with his daughter,
