Jones and Grant and Mr. and Mrs, Herbert Jones visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jones at St. Thomas. The opponents of the Canada Temperance Act are trying to make out that it has failed to pre- vent the giving of liquor to min- ors. This contention is unfounded. The Canada Temperance Act de- finitely forbids a public carrier delivering an order of liquor to a minor. Moreover the failure that is scandalous is the failure of the Ontario Liquor Act to keep minors out of beverage rooms. The Hur- on Temperance Federation is sure that there is less temptation and danger for minors under the Can- ada Temperance Act than under the Ontario Liquor Act. —Advt.
