Have you any hidden talents?
Too often people identify talent
with ability to sing, play an in-
strument, act or draw. Actually,
any special gift or aptitude may
rightly be regarded as a talent —
and should be developed.
The ability to make friends eas-
ily, for instance, is one of the most
valuable of all talents. You may
have more of this gift than you
think. If so, a little more seiRcoa-
fidence can work wonders in bring-
ing that ability to the surface.
Organizing ability is another
important gift that perhaps you
possess but haven't yet exploited.
Think hat k. Have you ever suc-
cessfully i•lan ;cel and executed any
nndertal,n;;--c;en a social event?
If so, you }nave gift which, turned
to other uses, can bring big re-
wards. (Most big jobs are held by
expert organizers?)
Similarly a host of other latent
talents—such as inventiveness, sym-
pathetic understanding of people,
observation, economizing, remem-
bering detail — are distributed
widely among all of us.
Check over your stock of talents.
If you cultivate them and apply
them to nese rises you will he re-
warded in many ways.

problems of providing financial
security for the future. Thus the
plans he rtcoinniends invariably

Hydro Consumers of
Seaforth
Some additional power resources will become
available to the H.E.P.C. on December 15, 1949, at the
close of the navigation season on the Great Lakes.
During the night hours and. on Saturday this extra
power will make it possible to afford some measure of
relief to retail merchants during the pre -Christmas
season. Consequently restrictions on store window
lighting ONLY will be suspended daily from 7.00 p.m.
to midnight December 15th to December 24th, 1949,
inclusive, and all day on Saturday, December 17th, and
on Saturday, December 24th
This announcement, however, does not mean that
power supplies will be unlimited during this period.
The commission cannot stress too strongly that this
temporary relief to merchants and Christmas shop-
pers will only be possible if all consumers exert every,
effort to conserve electric energy. Your continued co-
operation is therefore most essential.
