Mrs. henry Hoggarth is slowly re-
covering at home after an operation
in Stratford General Hospital by Dr.
Ingham,
Mrs. William Stoddart has received
word from herr brother, Mr. L G.
Mathers, who is living at 'Guam
Island in the South Pacific, that a
violent typhoon recently struck the
island causing mncfh damage. Some
of his belongings were lost in the
storm.

Miss Belle 'McCully and Mr. and Mrs.
Ephraim Clarke were in Strathroy on
Friday attending the funeral of Miss
Margaret Weir.
