Last Saturday Western took the
title when they defeated the McGill
squadron in the sudden death tilt
played at Varsity Stadimn, Toronto.
They defeated them by an 11-6
count before. a crowded stadium.
We have heard FunioPs that the
Legion hope to operate the following
leagues this year, Bantam, Midget,
and will sponsor the Seaforth Inter-
mediate team.

The Seaforth Amateur Athletic
Association are planning on starting
a juvenile team of local boys. All
these teanw will commence operating
as soon as the Community Recreation
Centre cat be prepared for ice,

ceased him. Floral tributes were
given by Mr. and Mrs. M. Hurst, Ed-
monton, Mr. George Bale and family
and friends at the stock yards at
Prince .Albert, Sask. The interment
took place at BeachmOunt Cemetery,
Edmonton. •
Mos. John Hoffman, Goderich, 69,
riled in Alexandra Hospital on
Thursday afternoon. -Formerly Mary
Ida Hoffman she was born in Wal-
ton, a daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Thomas Williamson. She had
resided in Goderich for 37 years.
Surviving besides her husband are:
one son, George, of Goderich; one
daughter, Mrs, William Boult,
Cofl-
ingwpod: two brotherS, Thornas and
John Williamson, of Niralton; two
sisters, Mts. Hugh Ramsay, Walton,
and Mrs. George -Walker, Winona;
and two grandchildren. The funeral
service was conducted by Rev. 13.. G.
MacMillan, of Knox Ptesbyterian
Church on Saturday, at the Brophey
funeral home. Interment was in
Maitlan4 cemetery.

extended to them from their friends

Mr. and Mrs. D. Oesch were visited
by relatives from Zurich. They also
visited their daughter Mr. and Mrs.
Alvin Rader, Goshen Line south.
Little Sherry Jane Young had her
tansils removed in Clinton Hospital
last week, and is getting along fine
at her grandmother's now.

in Zurich, who is quite lb,

back to Clinton hospital after being
in a London hospital recently for
treatment.
