The Hensall Community building
is now closed in, the last of the
roof being put on Friday, Nova 4th.
There remains some cement work 1
and levelling to be done inside and
then the work of making the ice
cushion and dressing rooms will com-
mence. The first truss was erected
on ,Sept. 2,1949, so the progress to
date has een very good when one
considers the number of days lost
throtvgh bad weather. The people of
this district are very proud of this
structure as it represents the finest
in precision workmanship from the
footings to the roof, and all this done
by local workmen of this district;
designed and supervised by Dave
Sangster: It is .a building , everyone
will want to show to visitors, one
will point to it with pride because
they have contributed to its erection,
whether it has been $5.00 or $500.
It represents the faith of the people
in the future of their community and
country, a faith that it will prosper
and grow. If there are any who have
not already been canvassed a dona-
tion will he greatly appreciated.
li'red G, Bonthron is the treasurer or
it may be.left at Middleton's Drug
Store. Drysdale's Hardware or
Joynt's Store, A monster frolic is
being held inside the 'building on
Friday, Nov. lRth to raise funds to
complete the job.
