.A lovely Autumn wedding was sol-
emnized at Wellington Street Unit-
ed Church manse, London, at high
noon, Saturday, when Helen. Bar-
bara, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm.
Shepherd, Hensall, became the bride
of Alfred Lendrum Berosth, son of
Mr, and Mrs. Geo. Berosh, Fawcett,
Alta., Rev. J. W. Hunt, performed
the ceremony. The attractive bride
chose a gown of navy blue taffetta
fashioned with square neckline. full
Skirt with lace inserts and short
sleeves. Her accessories were of
navy blue, her corsage white gar-
denias, and she wore a single strand
of pearls, gift of the groom. The
attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Shepherd, London, brother and
sister-in-law of the bride. Mrs, Shep-
herd as matron of honor wore a
costume of navy blue crepe with
pettitpoint floral pattern, high neck,
shall pointed collar and cap sleeves.
Her corsage was of pink sweetheart
roses., Mr. Shepherd was groomsman.
Following the ceremony the bridal

party motored to the home of the
bride's parents in Hensall where the
reception was held for immediate
relatives. For the wedding trip to
Montreal and the Laurentian Moun-
tains the bride travelled in a brown
and white checkered suit, brown top-
coat with green accessories. They
will reside at Grand Bend.
The monthly meeting of the
Evening Auxiliary of the Hensel]
United Church was held at the home
of Mies Mattie Ellis on Tuesday
evening, Oct. 10th with an excellent
attendance. Mrs. P. McNaughton
assisted the hostess: The President,
Mrs. J. Corbett, opened the meeting
with the Ode and the Lord's Prayer
after which the hymn _ "All People
that on 'Earth do dwell" was sung.
An interesting devotional period
suitable for Thanksgiving was then
presented, Consisting of responsive
passages and hymns and prayer.
Minutes read. Members offered a
lovely selection of aprons for the ba-
zaar in answer to the roll call. Col-
lection taken. Mrs. J. Corbett pre-
sented, the missionary item "Canada.
our new Home". Hymn "0 Come all
ye thankful people Come" was used.
During the business session the Buy-
ing Committee distributed print for
the making of aprons. It was 'decid-
ed to hold the bazaar in the school-
room of the United Church on Sat-
urday, Nov. 19th at 3 o'clock, home -
baking, produce serving and knitt-
ing, candy, and a fish pond will be
features. Tea will be served. Full
arrangements will 'be completed at
the next meeting. At this time Mrs.
Blackwell dealt with the study hook
chapter in an effective manner.
The next meeting will be held at
the home of Mrs. Lorne Chapman.
The meeting concluded with, the
hymn "Lead kindly Light" and pray-
er. Dainty refreshments were served
by the hostess and her assistants.
The ladies of Chiselhurst Church
are holding a bazaar in the Hensall
United Church schoolroom' on Satur-
day, Oct 15th at 3 o'clock,
