Intermediate S: tm':lny--Heasali vs. Dublin at Seaforth Mmuhoeaswwwwwwwwwoutly -Dublin at Crediton Hospital Hospital.Report This is the third in a series of factual .articles dealing with Scott Memorial Hospital. At this time of writing the new Board has been well organized - each committee is headed by an able and qualified chairman. At the first general meeting each member of the Board was handed detailed informa- tion regarding the internal workings of the hospital. Utmost frankness will be the rule at meetings of the Board and has been proven necessary if the roots of any trouble are to be reached. The new committee chairmen have been given full authority to deal with any problem in their particular scope. Greater demands will be made on these new chair- men; detailed reports will he required from them at the monthly Board meetings. The Board will make a tour of the Hospital pre- ceding each meeting, in order to completely familiar. ize themselves with it. Arrangements have been made with the matron Miss Grinyer to have wo-. men's organizations, such as church and Institute tour the hospital as a means of becoming better acquainted with its functioning. It is a real experi- ence to pass through the nen wing and view its panorama of color, and it is certainly the duty of every public spirited citizen to know the facts about such an organization as the hospital in his midst. Accounts are always a headache to any hospital. In Seaforth even during this last year thousands of dollars were involved. While we do not forecast drastic action, a more business -like system of col- lecting accounts will have to be set up. In city hos- pitals patients are asked to pay in advance, accounts are rendered weekly, and arrangements for paying the final account must be made before the patient leaves the hospital. We urge everyone to recheck his hospitalization plan. A report concerning these plans is pending along with the financial report. This week arrangements are being made to hold a meeting with the medical men of this district. We are confident of reaching a better understanding with them at that -time. If you would like to have a copy of the pamphlet of Hospital information, or if you have an enquiry or complaint, you are requested to get in tough with Miss Grinyer or Mrs. 3. B.
