the wedding music at the marriage
of his brother, Mr, Edward Becktel,
to Miss Hazel Hume, which takes
place at Trinity Baptist Church, in
Hamilton on July 3rd.

spent the week end in Toronto and
were guests at .the Jordan -Madigan
wedding.

Jimmie spent the week end with rel-
atives at Port Dover.
Mrs. Fred Jackson left on Mon-
day to visit at her home in Lenora.
Captain Dorothy George has been
appointed to take charge of the Sal-
vation -Army at Seaforth. She will
arrive' on Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. George Stokes of
Goderich spent Sunday with Mr.
and Mrs. Herald Lawrence.
Miss Blanche Lightowler of Wind-
sor is spending a week at the home
of Mr. and Mrs, J. A. Westcott.
Mrs. Robert Strong spent the
week end in Toronto visiting her
daughters, Mrs. Ken MacLean and
Mrs. Jean Bowman.
Miss Virginia McNamara was in
Toronto last Thursday, attending the
wedding of her sister, Patricia
D'Arcy, to Mr. Hector Symons of
Woodstock.
Mr. and Mrs. Cassie of Detroit,
visited over the weekend with Mr.
and Mrs. J. H. Quigley.

WHO IS M. J. COLDWELL ?
M. J. Coldwell is the President of the National Executive of the
C.C.F. party. He is also national leader and a Member of
The House of Commons for the riding of Rosetown-Biggar.
In 1936 in a speech in the House of Commons Mr. Coldwell said,
"Canada is best defended if we rely upon our weakness
physically and our good will as a good world neighbour."
In 1937 speaking in Toronto Mr. Coldwell said, "My son is 21
years old, He came to me voluntarily and said that
I could rely on one thing and that was his determination

TOWN OF SEAFORTH
On instructions from the Council, I hereby pro-
claim that no dogs shall be allowed to run at large
in the Town of Seaforth during the period from May
21, 1948, to September 1, 1948. •
Under authority of By -Law No. 111 for the Town
of Seaforth, any dogs So found running at large 0011-
trary to this Proclamation, shall be liable to be killed
and the owner or harborer prosecuted.
