The Council of the Township of
Hibbert met pursuant to adjournment
in the Staffa Township Hall on Mon-
day for the transaction of general
business. All the members were
present, Reeve Nagle presiding. The
minutes of the last meeting were read
and courfirmed and a number of com-
munications satisfactorily disposed of.
ByLaws No. 346 and 347 providing
for the distribution of surplus funds
on the Peart and Walker Drains re-
spectively were passed and the Reeve
and Clerk authorized to sign the same
and affix the corporate seal. The Dow
D:ra!n report of Fullarton
and Hlb-
bert Townships was read and adopt-
ed and instructions given to the Clerk
to prepare a Ey-Law providing for
the necessary assessments. A resolu-
tion was passed that tenders be re-
ceived up to Friday, April 25, at 8
p.m. et Staffa Townhip Hall 'for a
small bridge at William Davis', The
account of J, W. Modeland for light-
ing the Township Hall and providing
fixtures was paid, the Woman's In-
stitwte contributing $75 and a local
committee $513 towards file same. Mr.
Hawes, District Engineer of Mnnici-
pal Roads, was present and gave an
instructive address on the duties of
Road Superintendent and _ Weed In-
spector with regard to the .Council
Board. Instructions were given to the
Clerk to prepare By -Laws and Sched-
ules providing for the deficiency on
the Coyote -Leary and Norris Drains,
Orders were issued for approximate-
ly $200 road expenditure , and $25'0
general expense, The meeting ad-
journed until Monday, May 18th, at
