A snappy game of foot ball was played here last Friday night between Brussels and Winthrop. The game was a tie, neither team, scoring. 'Win- throp had the best of the play, and kept the ball pretty well up in front of Brussels goal. The .Brussels goalie did splendid work and stopped many a good shot, Monkton plays here July the 3rd. We are glad to hear that Jack gul- ly, eldest son of Mr. and 3 s, 'Gordon Hully, is improving after a very severe illness of pneumonia. We were sorry to hear of Mr. and Mrs. John Henderson being so sev- erely injured in a oar accident. Mr. Henderson spent his boyhood' days west of the village and his many friends wish them both.a speedy re- covery.
