Maher, of 207 Monitor street, has been appointed chairman of the Municipal :Parole Commission to -fill out the unexpired terns of Ber- tram De N. 'Cruger, resigned. Mr. Maher was a; member of the Parole Commission and his term ran until December 2.9, 1929. In order to re- ceive the appointment' as chairman of the commission, he had to resign liis membership and then be appoint- ed chairman by Mayor Walker. The chairmanship of the Municipal Parole, Commission carries' a salary of $8,500. ;Members bf the commission receive $6,500. , Tite commission consists ' of the Commissioner of 'Correctien„the Police Commissioner, ex -officio, and three members appointed.by the Mayor for ten years.
