-Christian Endeavor held their weekly
meeting oh Monday niglit with Miss

the chair. After the usual devotional
exercises, Mr. Earl Webster .gave a
most interesting address on Forestry,
outlining the progressof the industry
from -pioneer days. It is noted that
500,000 men; -make their living by work
in Canadian forests,. Bill McDonald
'then told in an interesting way, the
use of aeroplanes in giving fire pro-
tection. Jack honey told of the value
of birds in the destruction of injurious
insects, Miss Ruby Young then read
a'poem entitled, '"What Do• You Do
When You Plant a Tree:" -Mr, Mc-
Donald spoke on Reforestation. Miss
'Gladys Way favored the audience
with two pleasing piano so1'os.. Mr.
Earl' Webster was in charge of the
coates.t during. the intermission.
Groups' were formed and all spent an
interesting half hour neeiting various
kiisds of woods, The ,meeting was
tailed' to order and the minutes were
read and adopted. Miss Jean Smith
resigned as 4th Vice President;: Mr,
Rat -laid Reinke being elected in her
place. The meeting closed with a
hymn and the Mizpah benediction,
The officers were delighted to sec
such a good attendance of young peo-
