MRS. FRANK GLEN
Mrs, Frank Glew, Clinton, died
Christmas Day at the Clinton
hospital: She had been ill 19
weeks following a stroke Born
in Seaforth, the former Anne Ro-
berts, she was a daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Roberts
and had lived in the Clinton area
all her life.' She was a member of
Ontario Street United Church, a
Sunday school teacher, and a for-
mer president of its W. A. 'She
was also a past noble grand of
the Huronia Rebekah Lodge. Sur-
viving besides her husband, are
two sons, Harold, of Preston, and
William, of Clinton; one daugh-
ter, Mrs. Abe (Lillian) Orpen, of
Clinton; and two sisters, Mrs.
William Smithers, Seaforth, and
Mrs, A. Archibald, Peterborough.
The body was at the Beattie 'fun•
eral home, Clinton, where Rev,
Grant Mills conducted a funeral
service on Wednesday at 2 p.m,
Burial will follow in Clinton cem-
etery.

RECEIVES PROMOTION
R. G. Bennett, former Huron
County agricultural representa-
tive, has been named chief of the
marketing division of the Ont-
ario Department of Agriculture.
The announcement was made on
Wednesday by Agriculture Min-
ister William Stewart.
Mr, Bennett, formerly chief
agricultural officer of the depart-
ment, will be responsible for su-
pervision of co-operatives, mark-
et development, farm products
inspection, dairies and farm la-
bor,
A native of North Gower and
OAC graduate in 1943, he served
as agricultural representative in
Huron and Glengarry Counties
before being appointed in 1951 to
the post of associate director of
the agricultural repretentatives'
branch, Ilewas appointed dir-
ector of extension work in 1956
and in 1958 became chief agricul•
tural officer.

seven yearsand then he was em-

two daughters, Eleanor, at home,
and Laurene,. Mrs, Clarence Mal-
oney, McKillop, and they have
