DRY HURON Huron county has a unique "dry" record, Today its towns are "admittedly the driest" in On- tario, to quote from a recent Lon- don Free Press editorial. Huron has consistently voted dry when faced with a county- wide vote, In 1919 a referendum was voted on to decide whether or not to continue the 'Ontario Temperance Act. IIuron voted ,dry by a majority of 12,777, In 1921 an a'ot forbidding the .importation of liquor was put to the province and carried. Huron's.dry majority was 10,795 on that occasion. In 1924 the O. .A, was again Put to the province. This time Huron's dry majority was more than one-t'hird the total dry ma- 1orLty 'for the whole province: 11,945, wily so dry? Because in shite of its defeets the CTA since 1914 has kept out the legal liquor out• dots which the LOA allows, We urge amendment, not repeal, (Advertisement) BAKE AND PRODUCE SALE Saturday, Oct. 10 AT 2,30 In the former Daly's Garage ,Sponsored by Constance W.
