the W.M.S. of Hensall United
Church held in the schoolroom of
the church on Friday evening. The
room was decorated with Easter
plants and decorations. Mrs. W. B.
Cross presided and the Chiselhurst
W.M.S. had charge of devotional,
Topic taken by Mrs. John M. Glenn
on "'Christian Stewardship" was very
interesting. Mrs, T. Brintnell read
the scripture and Mrs. H. Parker led
in prayer. Mrs. H. J, Snell of Exeter
was the guest speaker, delivering an
inspiring address. Mrs. R. Mock fa-
voured with a vocal solo entitled
"How Lovely are Thy Dwellings,
Lord" accompanied by Miss Gladys
Luker at the piano. Mrs. Coates of
Exeter sang a solo entitled "Opeln
the Gates of the Temple" accompan-
ied by Mrs. A. Dougall at the piano.
Mrs. Jarrett of Hensall, a vocal solo
"Somebody Knows" accompanied by
Mrs. C. Forrest at the piano. Miss
Greta Laramie contributed a violin
solo accompanied by Miss Gladys
Luker. Mrs. R. H. Middleton and
Mrs. F. Evans sang a duett entitled
"Now is the Hour'". Refreshments
were served at the close.

Our fourth meeting was held at
the hone of President Dorothy Anne
Costello. Roll call was answered by
"How our family gets its meat sup-
ply". The minutes were read by
Phyllis Butters. Our next meeting
will be held at Theresa Feeney's.
Next week sometime we are going to
have a demonstration on meat cut-
ting. Mrs. Whetham gave another
demonstration on how to prepare
and cook swiss steak. We also had
a sample of some already cooked.
We have decided to hold two after-
noon meetings during Easter holi-
days and hold a pot -luck supper.
Lunch was served and some energet-
ic girls helped with the dishes.
