HULLETT
The Fireside Farm Forum met on
Monday night at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Ma1'vey Taylor with 24 adults
and 6 children present. The topic
was "Security for Farm Labour". We
decided that the most important
things for a farmer to keep in mind
if he wihes to get, and keep good
hired help, are the following: to use
him as one of the family, give good
board, good wages, have modern
equipment, some .opportunity for
amusement, a room of his own if a
single man, and if a married man
have suitable living quarters for him
.and his family.
Very few in this community keep
much hired help, and we were divid-
ed m opinion about the advantage of
unions for farm workers,
The winners in progressive euchre
were most games, Mrs. George Cart-
er and Mrs. Bert Hoggart; lone
hands, Miss Fern 'Dexter, and Bert
Hoggart; consolation, Mrs. Wes.
Hoggart, andJJim Jamieson,
Next meeting will be at the home
of Mr. and Mr's. 'George Carter,
The concert by the teacher, Miss
Lois Fell and her pupils of S.S. No.
11 was a decided success The school
room and tree were beautifully de-
corated and Santa arrived in time to
distribute the presents. Mrs, Wndorf,
the music teacher, had the children
well trained in their musical warn-
hrs.
