last few years, attempted to make us
real all-round students. This year
their object is to make students feel
they have a job to do at all times,
or as the slogan for the Campaign in-
dicates, "Students around the Clock".
On Monday the Campaign was of-
ficially opened. The theme of the
week and of each day was explained
and songs were composed and learn-
ed. Tags were distributed to be
bought by Mie students or sold to
others. The theme for Tuesday was
"sanctity for students". This inspired
many students to attend morning
Mass; and all the students went to
Mass Friday, to end the week well.
On Wednesday a "sound mind in a
sound body" was stressed. A cross-
country run was staged for the boys
while the girls played games at the
school. Instead of bringing the usual
lunches, the students held a weiner
roast, which was thoroughly enjoyed
by all.
'Our "social life" was the theme
for Thursday. The warner roast the
day before and a concert and dance
on Friday spruced up our social life
for the week. Friday was "culture"
day. Many students shied at this, but
a concert by grades 9 and 10, in the
afternoon proved that culture is not
always too "high tone". A daily paper
"The Campaignerwas published
throughout the week. This proved to
be a hit containing, as it did both the
thoughful and the "thoughtless" ar-
ticles. The Campaign was a great
Juccess and all the students are try-
ing, for a while at least (for the year
we hope) to he "students around the
clock"
On ,Friday p.m. between 4 and 5
Jack Murray's car disappeared. The
thieves left their prize a few rods
away under the concealment of some
trees. Perhaps they were out of gas,
perhaps they were conscience-strick-
en, or maybe they decided it would
be safer to walk.
