A. Hillen W1144 decked with flowers
on Sept, 2, for the marriage of their
daughter, Margaret Edith Hillen, to
Peter Martin Dunlop, Seaforth, son
of the late Mr.. and Mrs, Hugh Dun-
lop. RevMr, Livingston of Win-
throp officiated, Mrs. K. A. Cowan
of Midland, sister of the bride, play-
ed the wedding music- and Mrs. Stan-
ley Hillen, sister-in-law of the bride,
sting. Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a long white
satin gown, It was designed with
nylon net yoke and off -the -shoulder
collar of satin edged with French il-
lusion and seed pearls, The sleeves
were lily point, and the full skirt,
fashioned with paniers, had a cath-
edral train. She wore a finger-tip
veil caught to her head with a pearl -
trimmed bandeau, and carried a
shower bouquet of red roses and
baby's breath. Miss Joyce Oliver,
niece of the groom, was bridesmaid
in a gown of pale taffeta. Harvie
Hillen, Kingston, brother of the
bride, was best man. A reception
followed at Cavan United Church.
Winthrop. Later the couple left on
a trip to Muskoka, the bride travel-
ing in a blue gray suit with navy ac-
cessories. They will make their
home in Seaforth,

time. Fifty-four years ago she was
married to Mr. Chittenden who sur
vives, also four daughter's, Mrs.
W. 3. Padgett, Clairmont; Mrs. Wm.
Hoiloway and Mrs. Melinski, Toron-
to, atld• Mrs. Townsend, Montreal,
:and one son, Kielland, Toronto; also
a brother, Frank, in the States. The
funeral was held from hor late home
in Toronto on Sept. 5th, InternleItt
took place at Toronto,

crepe. Lieutenant Ray Hogue was
groomsman. Following a wedding
trip, for which the bride chose nave'
blue faille crepe with matching ac-
cessories and wore a corsage of
roses, Lieutenant and Mrs, Vollett
will reside in Melton. The bride is
a former teacher of Constance
school and has since taught at Ger-
aldton, Ont.
Mrs. Ernest Adams and daughter,
Donelda, have returned home after a
pleasant motor trip through Nor-
thern Ontario.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm, Jewitt and fa-
mily left on Sunday for a six weeks'
visit to his parents, Mr, and Mrs. R.
Jewitt in 'Kincaid, Sask.
Mr, Chas, Dexter and Mr, Wm.
Dale attended the Toronto exhibi-
tion for several days last week,
where Mr. Dale took- prizes for
some of his horses.
Miss Donelda Adams left Monday
afternoon to take up her new duties
on the staff of the public school at
the RCAF Station, Centralia.

Mr, Jack McGregor of Moosejaw,
Sask., passed away on August 25th.
He was born and spent his boyhood
days hi Tuckersmith. He left for the
west forty-seven years ago and
passed away at the age of 82 years
at the Moose Jaw hospital. Some
years ago he unfortunately met
with a bad accident having caught
his leg in a threshing machine mak-
ing it necessary to amputate his leg.
A rupture was the cause of his
death. He was a bachelor and was
buried at Riverhurst cemetery at
Moosejaw. Robert McGregor, a
nephew, attended the funeral„
Mrs. Harry Caldwell and Mrs. R.
McGregor were London visitors,
Mr. Robert Cooper of Kippen is
holidaying in the west.

left on Tuesday for the West to 'help
