The Fireside Farm Forum met on
Monday night at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Oliver Anderson with an
attendance of seventeen. After the
discussion period Miss Betty Addi-
son led a recreation period for which
Oliver Anderson won the prize. The
prize winners at euchre were most
games, Norma Dexter and Geo. Hog-
gart; lone hands. Mrs. Harvey Tay-
lor and Wes Hoggart; consolation.

Neighbours and friends were sad-
dened when death came in Scott
Memorial Hospital, 'Seaforth, on
Monday, February 13, 1950, to a
long respected resident of Morris
Township, Mrs, Anna Healy, beloved
wife of the late Peter Healy. Mrs.
Healy (nee Annie Phelan) was the
daughter of the late Patrick Phelan
and Mary McCaughey, During her
long life of eighty-four years as a
resident in this locality she won the
esteem of many friends through her
general disposition. Throughout her
life she was an active participant in
all local activities. She was a ,,member
of St. (Michael's R. C. Church, Blyth,
the Altar Society and The League of
the Sacred Heart. Solemn High
Mass was sung in St. Michael's
Church, Blyth, by Rev. S. McDonald
P. 1'. as celebrant, Rev. W. J. Phel-
an, pastor of ISt. Martin's Church,
London, nephew of the deceased,
assisted as deacon, Rev. Louis J.
Phelan, pastor of St. Brigicl's Church,
Logan, also a nephew, assisted as
sub -,deacon. The funeral oration was
delivered by Rev. W. J Phelan. In
it he explained the meaning. of the
Requiem ceremonies and their sig-
nificance in the life of the Christian
and particularly m the life of the
deceased. She is survived by one
brother, Mr. Jos. P. Phelan of Cinci-
natti, Ohio. Left to mourn the loss
of a beloved mother are her dnvo
daughters, Sister M. Assumption C.
S. J. and Sister M. Nativity, C.S.J.,
both of London. One daughter hav-
ing predeceased her some year's ago
and one son Earl with whom she
spent her declining years.
Interment took place at St. Mich-
ael's Cemetery, Blyth, Rev, Louis J.
Phelan officiated at the grave.
The pallbearers were James Kelly,
Joseph Devereaux, Louis ,Donnelly,
John Phelan, Bili Kelly and Sarto

, don, Stratford, iSeaforth, 51, Colum-
• ban, Dublin, Clinton, Wingham,
Brussels, Brantford.
' (Rev. S. 3. McDonald, parish priest,
sang requiem high mass in St. Mich-
ael's Church, Blyth, Monday horning
at 10 o'clock for the repose of the
soul of William James Kelly. Father
McDonald was assisted by Rev. Wil-
liam Phelan, St, Martin's Church,
Lonidon, and IRev. Louis Phelan, of
Logan township, cousins of the late
ii'Ir, Kelly The pallbearers wore Jo,
seph Devereaux, William (Selly jr..
Michael Kealy Jr., Alfred fierce,
John M. Craig, William Peak.. In-
teirincnt was in St, Michaela Collie -
tory in Morris township. Mr. Kelly
was in his 70th year and had lived
his entire life on the homestead on
concession 7, Morris township, where
lie passed away on Friday. He was a
soli of the late James Kelly and El-
len Phelan (Selly. He had been in
poor health for the past seven year's.
He was unmarried, A faithful mem-
ber of St, Michael's Church, be was
a member of the Holy Name Society,
Altar Society, Crusade and )3ociety
for the Propagation of the Faith. 'He
was a talented violinist and ,with his
brothers was in much demand as olcl
