Hensall Institute
A splendid attendance intuited' the
monthly meeting of the Hensall In-
stitute held in the Legion rooms on
Wednesday night, Feb, 8th with the
President, Mrs, Beer in charge. Fol. -
lowing the Ode, 0 Canada, the 'Creed
and the Lord's Prayer, the roll call
was answered thus "The name of a
city in Canada you would like to see
and why". Minutes read, Collection
taken. Miss Greta Lanmlie contribu-
ted an enjoyable violin solo "Believe
me if all those endearing young
charms", 'Mrs. T. Lavender inspiringly
presented the motto "It's lgving, and
giving that makes life worth living".
A delightful vocal solo "'Christop'her
Robin is saying his prayers" was of-
fered by Mrs. Middleton 'accomp-
anied by Miss Gladys ,Luker, During
the business discussion the first
natter dealt with was the crib quilts
for London War Memorial 'Child-
ren's hospital. Mrs. A. D. McEwen,
because of illness, cannot act on this
committee with Mrs. Coo. Arm-
strong and Mrs. S.- Bell, IMrs. A,
Moussean kindly volunteered to add
her name to the list. A special collec-
tion
ollettion was taken for the purpose of
buying linings thread and other sup-
plies, quilt blocks and' materials were
also received. Several members pre-
sent had finished tops on display.
All members are reminded of the
quilting to be held in the Legion
rooms on Wednesday afternoon, Feb.
22nd at 1:80 o'clock. All those who
can quilt are asked to be on hand,
bring needles, thimbles, frames, etc.

may still be given to any of the
above committee,
