Remembrance Day with a Church Service on Sunday, No-
vember 7th, and with services at the Soldiers' Memorial in
Victoria Park on Thursday, Nov. llth at 10.30 A.M.
The Legion wishes to extend a very cordial
welcome to all school children, Boy Scouts,
Girl Guides, Council of Seaforth, Tuckersmith

Christopher Lynch, famous Irish
tenor, presented a recital of Irish
songs at St. Patrick's Church, Dub-
lin, on Saturday night, A good crowd
was in attendance, and his songs
were much enjoyed by all present,
He was accompanied by his own pi-
anist whom Mr, Lynch considers one
of the best in the world, Mr, Lynch
is on tour of the United States and
Canada, Several weeks ago he was
on the Ed Sullivan program of
"Toast of the Town" in New 'York
City.

Miss Phyllis Butters with Mr. and

Patrick Feeney, assessor of Hib-
bert township for over ten years,
and a prosperous farmer all his life
in this area, on Friday observed his
90th birthday at his Home, R.R. 2,
Dublin.
Only members of the immediate
family were on hand at the Hibbert
farm home, Friday, for the quiet
celebration.
Mr. Feeney was born Oct. 29,
1864, one and a half miles east of
Staffa, a son of the late Martin Fee-
ney and his wife, the late Mary
Wood Feeney.. The last surviving
member of a family of eleven, he
resided. on lot 18, con. 4, Hibbert,
for nearly 60 years, after moving
from his home farm east of Staffa.
In January, 1894, he married the
former Mary Roach of Hibbert. The
couple celebrated their diamond an-
niversary last winter. Mrs. Feeney
was 88 in September. Both are en-
joying fairly good health. They have
a family of six sons: Joe, of Hib-
bert; Toni, of London; Louis, Alb-
ert, Jerome and Ebner, all at home.
They have seven grandchildren and
seven great grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Feeney are members
of St. Patrick's Church, Dublin. Mr.
Feeney, while unable to take an ac-
tive part novo, has been a member of
the Holy Name Society of the
church. A. lifelong Liberal, he was
always interested in politics and
township affairs.

The regular monthly meeting of
the Hullett Township Council was
held Nov. 1, in the Community Hall,
Londesboro at 1:30 p.m. The Reeve,
Wm. J. Dale was absent on County
business at Goderich. All members
of the Council were. present.
Moved by W. R. Jewitt and T.
Leiper, that G. C. Brown be chair-
man in the absence of the Reeve,
Wm. J, Dale.
Moved by W. R. Jewitt and E.
liesk, that we adjourn as a Council
and open as a Court of Revi§ion on
the 1955 Assessment Roll.
Moved by G. C. Brown and T. Lei-
per, that due to the absence of the
Reeve, we appoint Leonard Caldwell
a member of the Court to hear ap-
peals on the Assessment Roll for
1055.
As the Court was now complete
the Clerk administered the Oath of
Member of Court of Revision.
Moved by T. Leiper and E. Hesk,
that we appoint W. R. Jewitt as
•Chairman of the Court of Revision
on the 1955 Assessment Roll. Car-
ried.
Moved by T. Leiper and E. Hesk,
that the Barn Assessment on Lot 30,
Hagyard Survey, be taken from the
Assessment Roll for 1055 as the barn
is being moved away. The property
belonging to the James Fairserviee
Estate, Carried.
Moved by G. C. Brown and L.
Caldwell, that the Clerk allow exemp-
tions for 4 acres of wood lot for N.
F. Eindiguer, value $125.00, for 10
acres of wood lot for Cecil Cart-
wright, value $300.00. For 7 acres
wood lot for L. Rooney, value $200.

Hesk, that we take no action on the
Appeal on part lot 26, eon. 14, Earl
Noble, as it compares with adjoining
properties, Carried.
Moved by T. Leiper and G. C.
Brown, that we now close the Court
of Revision on the 1955 Assessment
Roll and open as a Council, Carried.
At this time a delegation from the
Federation of 'Agriculture for the
Township of Hullett approached
Council regarding a grant to the As-
sociation.
Moved by W. R. Jewitt and T. Lei-
per, that we make a grant of $750.
to the Hullett Federation of Agricul-
ture. Carried.
At this time the bylaw for the
setting of the dates for the Annual
Ratepayers meeting for the Nomina-
tion of Candidates for Council for
1955 was placed before Council.
