FIELD TEACHER VISITS

are completed for the Canadian Na-
tional Institute for •the Blind annual
campaign for funds September 20 to
October 2.
Miss Susan Miller will visit Blind
in Dungannon, Blyth and Kintail,
part of a regular field service to
blind in their owl, hones. While Miss
Miller is working in Huron County,
the new residence -rehabilitation cen-
tre is giving training to Howard Car-
roll, a 35 -year-old Goderich resilient
blinded last year.
Mr.Carroll, blinded in an indust-
rial accident was admitted to the
London centre this week for train-
ing which will enable hien to once
again make his own WAY in the
world,
The CN'IB campaign for funds to
carry on such work throughout the
counties of Middlesex, Huron, Elgin
and Perth seeks $50,500,
Community Chests in -London,
Stratford and Elgin County will con-
tribute $34,500, and city and county
councils have already given- $5,000.
The remaining $11,000. is to be rais-
ed by public subscription in Huron,
Perth and Middlesex Counties.
Residents of communities in the
three counties have already volun-
teered as chairmen and canvassers of
local committees.
