All persons in the Municipality owning or har-
boring dogs must purchase 1954 licenses for same on
or before . June 30th, 1954. Licenses will be issued
from the Treasurer's Office in the Town Hall, or fi'om
the Tax Collector, Harold Maloney.
After that date summonses through the Court
will be issued to the owners or harborers of dogs not
having licenses.
All clogs must wear license tags.

The Young People of Duff's Unit-
ed Church held their anniversary ser-
vice on Sunday, May 30th, with Rev.
J. Stinson of Seaforth, as guest
speaker. He gave a challenging ad-
dress to the parents as well as the
young people, basing his discourse
on the Life of Paul. He urged the
young people to work together in
their share of church activities. Miss
Doris Stevens, president, was in
charge. Miss June Hackwell read the
scripture from Phillipians II: 5-16.
Geo. Love led in prayer. A choir
composed of members of Young Peo-
ple's Union, rendered special music
under the direction of Miss Audrey
Hackwell as organist. Mr. Don Mc-
Donald was guest soloist for the ser-
vice.
Mr. Andie Coutts is a patient in
Scott Memorial Hospital, Seaforth.
Mr, and Mrs. Neil Reid and Mr.
and Mrs. Woodrow Mercer, all of
Toronto, were guests over the week-
end with Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Dundas.
Mr. Frank Cardiff of the 16th of
Grey twp. had 5 chunks of pigs disa-
ppear from his farm one night last
week. Mr. Cardiff has been laid up
with a broken ankle, and has been
staying with his brother Clifford
Cardiff, and was not at home at the
time.
Miss Margaret McDonald spent the
weekend at her home in Teeswater.

Cavan Church will be held June 9 at
2 p.m. in the schoolroom of the
church. Reports of the Huron Pres-
bytery of the W. A. that was held in

will give a demonstration of making
flowers from silk stockings. All are

The president, Mrs. Christie, opened
the meeting with a parable of vaca-
tionists. 'Secretary and Treasurer's
reports were read. Mrs. Cochrane
took the devotional part and opened
with a poem, "The value of a
Friend". Mrs. Hudson read the scrip-
ture and Mrs. Mosher led in prayer.
Carl Berger favored with a piano
solo, and Donna Mae Berger sang a
lovely solo. Mrs. Cochrane gave a
reading, "Your Wife is like 'That",
which everyone enjoyed. Meeting
elosd with Mizpah Benediction and
Mrs. Mosher conducted two contests.
A social half hour followed.
