J, B. Fox officiated at the double -ring ceremony. Wedding music was provided by J. L. Nicol A.C.C.O., who accompanied the so- loist, Mrs, William Brown, Hensall, who sang "The Lord's Prayer” prier to the ceremony and "Because" dur ing the, signing of the register. The bride, entering the church with her father was gowned in white silk net lace over taffeta, styled with a long full train, and long tap- ering sleeves coming to a point over the hands. Her full length veil was arranged from a coronet of pearls, and she wore a pearl necklace and earrings, gift of the groom, Rod roses formed her bridal bouquet. Four attendants preceded the pretty bride to the altar. Miss Mar- lene Petzke, Mansell, maid of honor, was costumedin pink net over taf- feta, fashioned with a brocaded bo- dice and 'bolero jacket, She carried pink carnations. Bridesmaids were Miss Ruth Soldan and Miss Jean Mousseau, Hensall, Miss Soldan chose a blue net (off shoulder style) over taffeta and carried ,blue carna- tions; Miss Mousseau was gowned in yellow net over taffeta with bo- lero jacket, and carried a bouquet of mauve carnations. The trio wore matching nylon headdresses with pearl trim and lace mittens. Pauline Bell, sister of the bride, was flower girl • frocked i n floor - length orchid taffeta, with matching headdress and •carried a nosegay of orchid baby mumps. The soloist was gowned in mauve taffeta with matching headdress and mittens, with which she wore a cor- sage of yellow baby fauns. Harry Baker, Crumlin Airport, was groomsman, and Harold Bell, Hensall, and R. Orvis, 'Crumlin, ush- ered. For receiving the forty-five guests at Monetta Menard's, Exeter, Mrs. Bell wore navy crepe with pink trim, white accessories, and corsage of pink gladioli. The bridal table con- tered the three tier wedding cake, color schemes in pink and white and white tapers completing the decora- tions. For their wedding trip to Niagara Falls and Buffalo, N.Y., the bride travelled in a pink suit with powder blue accessories, and corsage of blue baby inu•nms. THE SEAFORTH NEWS HEN$ALL WURDELL—REGELE A very pretty wedding took place in St, Peter's Lutheran Church, Brodhagen, on June 12, when Dor- een Caroline, eldest daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Clarence Regele, R.R. Seaforth, exchanged marriage vows with Mr, Mervin Edwin Wurdell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wurdell, R. R. 1, Bornhohn, Rev. Walter Becker performed the ceremony. Mrs. 'George Mogh was organist, who accompanied Miss Donna Mae Smith who sang "The Lord' Pray- er", and "0 Perfect Love". The bride given in marriaage by her father looked charming in a long- sleeved, floor -length gown of white nylon over satin, trimmed with seed pearls. Her half-length veil was held in place by a headdress of petal bridal flowers. She carried red roses with white satin streamers. Miss Dorothy Regele was her sister's only attendant. :She wore a gown of mauve nylon •over satin. Her tiny halo hat and mittens harmonized with her gown. She carried a nose- gay of pink and yellow rose buds and sweet peas. The soloist 'woos a gown of green nylon over satin with a bolero jacket. Mr. Donald Sielnon was his cousin's best man, Mr. Ro- bert Regele, brother of the bride and Mr. Ronald Hinz, cousin of the groom were ushers. A wedding dinner was served in the basement of the church which was beautifully decorated with pink and white streamers. For a honey- moon trip to Manitoba the bride chose a navy blue suit with white accessories and a corsage of red roses. On their return the couple will reside on the bridegroom's farm near Bornholm. Guests were present from Mitchell, Seaforth, Monkton, Blyth, Brodhagen, and the surround- ing district. VARNA .A. meeting of the Bible Society was held in the twp. hall on Mon- day evening of this week, Rev. Mr. Moore of Toronto gave an address and showed a film "The Bible on the Table" which was much enjoyed by all present. At a business meeting afterwards it was decided to join the Goshen and Varna branches with Rev. T. J. Pitt as chairman, Mr. John Armstrong as Vice Pres., and Mr. Ernest Pollock as Sec.-Treas. A can- vass of the community will be held later this year. Two former residents of this com- munity passed away during the week enol, Mrs, A, Austin of Seaforth and Mr. Ralph Stephenson in Pilot Mound, Man.
