SEAFORTI-I, ONTARIO, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28, 1937 Inquest Into Death oF Joseph A. Murphy THE VERDICT The verdict ot the Jury was that the late Joseph •Ambrose Murphy came to his death from head, in- juries caused "by being thrown to the pavement of Highway No, 8 when the buggy in which he was riding was struck in the rear by the motor car driven by Ross Ren- nie, this conclusion being- reached after we have examined the body of the late Joseph Ambrose Mur- phy and having heard the medical evidence. Owing to weather and road conditions which prevailed on the night of the accident and con- sidering the inefficient light car- ried by Tyre. Murphy we can well believe that the accident could have occurred without a great deal of negligence on the part of Ross Rennie, But as a warning to himself and others we recommend that he be granted no license to drive a motor vehicle for the term of three years from date of accident, We also . recommend that the authorities impress upon all driv- ers of horse-drawn vehicles to have standard Hots recommended and approved by the Department. l'he inquest into the death ft.( 'Jos- eph \ tuhrose M urphy, A, who was killed on Highway 'No. 14, on Saturday night when hi, buggy Was ,tnwk by a ear driven by R. •Ren ilk of SVa- forth. nap.' ht' Id n 11',41ne,day 'morn- ing at 1110:130 at the town hall.
