On Tuesday evening, June 219th, a
large gathering of friends of the Se-
parate School Section No. 4 met at
Mr. Michael Coyne's home to bid
farewell to (Alice Agnes Coyne after
one year's splendid service, The fol-
lowing address was read by Tom
Morris, a pupil and a hantAsotne
cheque was presented on 'behalf of
tete section by Catherine McIver.
"Dear Agnes, -We have conte here
tonight to show our good -will to you.
Teachers have come 'and gone. Your
stay amongst us has been short but
in that time you have won the affec-
tion of the pupils and the confidence
of the people of the seotion. In ap-
preciating your services and in rem-
embering your days spent at S.S.S.

'On Wednesday afernoon,-June 30,
the pupils of SsS.S. tNt•o. ( .H belt,
gathered at the school for their,' .re-
well picnic. 'Miss Coyne. assisted by
Joseph P. Coyne and Miss N. Doyle
conducted •a series of .games and
races in which all the pupils took an
active part. True, only some pupils
won prizes but they all proved them-
selves true sports as they had been
guided and taught throughout the
one short year by their capable sport
leader, Miss Coyne. A wonderful
lunch was enjoyed by the teacher
and pupils. Miss Coyne was present-
ed by her pupils with a lovely chest
of writing paper, envelopes and
stantips.= Miss Coyne feelingly and
fittingly thanked them for their out
srtandin'g co-operation and loyalty in
all matters during the year and wish-
ed them every success in their work.
