Friday evening, October 9th, with a
good atteadanee, Miss Margaret
Sheplierd presided. The opening
hymn was "I ani Thine 0 Lord" after
which the Lord's .prayer was repeat-
ed in unison, Mrs. Jack Corbett read
the scripture lesson, Matt. 6, vs, 140.
Roll call taken. Minutes read, 'What
a Fellowship" was then sung. Gladys
Luker rendered a piano solo. The
topic on "Thanksgiving" . was ably
handled by Mrs. Lorne Chapman.
The next item was a sing song,
Gladys Luker at the R1ano. The dos-
ing hymn was "What e. Friend we
leave in Jesus" followed by the Miz-
pah benediction. Several contests and
lunch followed. Miss Evelyn Corbett
arranged the enjoyable evening.

a reception was held at the home of
Capt. and Mrs. G. Saul, Edmonton.
The bride's mother assisted in re-
ceiving the guests to the number of
40. She wore a gown of navy blue
with corsage of red roses. The bridal
couple are spending their honeymoon
at the home of the groom's parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Stan Tudor of the New
Commercial Hotel, Heusall. For trav-
elling the bride wore her wedding
dress with beige top coat. They will
reside in Halifax where the groom is
to report for duty on Oct. 20th. The
bride is a graduate of the University.

Mr. Wilson Carlile, while working
at Mr. Geo. Follicle's onion warehouse
on Saturday last had the misfortune
to have a bone in his heel broken
when the scaffold on which he and

Mr. Fee was only slightly shaken up,
but Mr. Carlile is suffering very much
from shock. He was taken to Scott
Memorial Hospital by Dr. D. G.
Steer and an x-ray revealed a fract-
ured heel. His many friends wish for
him a speedy recovery.
