day the 19th. rYith 23 members
and 3 visitors present. The open-
ing hymn was 394, Happy the
home when God is there. Mrs.
SmalIdon, vice-pres,, presided
over the !meeting reading the
scripture from Psalm . 28, also
leading in prayer and reading a
poem entitled ";Kindness ,ef
Spring". Mrs. Annie Armstrong
gave a humorous reading entit-
led "Grandpa's wood stove".
The minutes of the previous
meeting 'were read by Blanche
Hoegy. The WM'S report was
given by Marie .Coutts and Mar-
jorie Ritchie gave the W. A. re-
port..A. flannelette quilt was fin-
ished and later sold. A very suc-
cessful bazaar was held with a
few articles unsold. The meeting
closed by singing two 'verses of
hymn 580 followed by the Miz-
pah Benediction. The next aneet-
ing to be field at the hoane of
Mrs. Roy Bennett. Lunch was
served by the .hostess, assisted by
four other members, (Mrs. James
Williamson, Mrs. E. Uhler, Mrs.
Thos. Williamson, and Mrs. Hil-
da Sellers.
Farmers' Union held a very
successful euchre and dance on
Friday, April 13, at Winthrop
Hall. (Euchre prizes: Ladies',
Mrs. L. Dolmage; gent's, Mr. R.
Damage; lone bands, Mr. h.
Dolmage; 'consolation prizes, 'to
Mark Hamilton and Dianne Dol -
mage. ,At lunch a few numbers
were enjoyed by all, given by
Mr. J. Burch, Joan and Wan.
Hamilton and Barry Hoegy.
