1954, research is now being carried
out in leading centres in Canada.

away in Stratford Hospital on
Friday. She was in her 95th year

ago. She is survived by two sons
John of Cromarty and Stewart
of Listowel .and one ,daughter,
Mrs. John Wilton, Metaskewan,
'Sask. There are 13 grandchild-
ren, 25 great grandchildren and
10 great great grandchildren.
A public funeral service was
held on Monday at the Bonthron
funeral home, Hensall, and was
largely attended by friends and

Plan F r Usbo
Major step in the progress of
the Usborne dam bridge is ex-
pected to be taken at the end of
this month when public bodies
will sneet to approve plans for
its construction.
Engineers on 'the project, M.
M. Dillon and Co., of London,
will have their survey, report
and plan ready for the week of
Nov. 28. They have coanpleted
construction blueprints for the
dam.
Hal Hooke, secretary fieldman
for the Ausable River Conserva-
tion Authority, said this week he
hopes to arrange a meeting with
officials of Exeter &ADC., Us -
borne twp. and the Authority to
review the plans as soon as they
are available.
A full meeting of the Author-
ity has been called for Decem-
ber 7 at which the proposal will
be presented.
The dean is proposed one mile
east of {Exeter on the second
concession of'Usborne twp. It
will serve as a reservoir of wat-
er supply for the town and as
the base for the twp. road. It
will also serve as a measure of
flood control.
Besides being approved by
Exeter, Usborne and Authority
officials, the plan must also be
approved by the Ontario Gov-
ernment departments of high-
ways and planning and develop-
ment, who will contribute to-
wards 'the cost of the dam.
The Authority, at its meeting
in December, will discuss the es-
tablishment of an advisory
board to preserve historic sites
'throughout the (watershed.
Reports of other advisory
boards and the budget for the
year will be presented. 'Exeter -
Times -Advocate.
COMPLETE THIRTY
HOUSING UNITS
Work is gradually being com-
pleted on the 71 housing units
at Adastral Park, the resident-
ial area for Air Force personnel
at the 'Clinton RJC.A.F. Station.
Thirty units have been finished
in the past week.
By the first week in Decem-
ber it is expected that the en-
tire project will have been com-
pleted.
The T1 units .consist of 58
apartments, two duplexes, and
21 single houses. Of frame con-
struction, they are all sound-
proof. A [typical unit has living-
room, dining -room, kitchen, bath,
three or four bedrooms. The
duplexes and single houses are
heated by hot-air oil furnaces
while the apartments are heated
by steam heat from a central
boiler.
Supervised by the 'Central
Mortgage and Grousing Corpor-
ation, the 03ryers 'Construction
Ci. Ltd., Hamilton is doing the
building. The superintendent
has been Neil Gibson, Hamilton,
with William Gregg, (Clinton, as
carpenter superintendent.
