Sunday, Nov. 6th, and with Services at the Soldiers'
Memorial in Victoria Park on Friday, November 11,
at 10.30 A.M.
The Legion wishes to extend a very cordial welcome to all
School Children, Boy Scouts, Girl Guides, Councils of Sea -
forth, Tuckersmith and Meliillop, all other organizations,
and the general public.
On Sunday the Parade will leave the
Post Office at 10 A.M., headed by

INTER -CLUB COMPETITIONS
Almost .250 teams consisting
of two 44I memlbers 16 years of
age or about 500 boys and girls
took part in the 4-5i Provincial
Inter -club Competition at the
O.ArC. on Friday, 'Oct. 21.:Hur-
on County with 27 tdams repre-
sented the largest entry from
any County in the 'Province.

County with team members Da-
vid Kirkland, 2, Lucknow, and
'iBarry McQuillan, 1, Lucknow,
placed first in the Competition
and obtained the right to repre-
sent the Province of Ontario in
the 4.11 NationalClub Contest
which will be -held at the Royal
Winter Fair at Toronto. In this
competition they will compete
against the top 4-1I Beef teems
from the other provinces in 'Can-
ada. At the conclusion of the
National Club Contest in Tor-
onto these top 4-1I Club mem-
bers will the given an all -expense
paid tour of the 'Province of On-
tario :which, will incllude vists to
Niagar Falls and points- of' '`in
terest at 'Ottawa.

the competition.
In the 4 -If Grain (Club Com-
petition the (Exeter 4-H Grain
Club team placed fifth.
In the 4.11 Forestry Club ;Com-
petition the Wingham 4-H 'For-
estny 'Club from Huron :County
placed fourth.
In the 4-11 Tractor Mainten-
ance'Club Competitions ,the Zur-
ich 4•+11 Tractor Club Team from
Huron County placed 174h.
In the 4-H (Dairy Calf Club
Competitions with over 60 teams
competing the Exeter 4-H Dairy
Calf 'Club team tied fox- 28th
place in the 'Competition.

of Miss Jean bison rendered
two fine anthems, "1'11 go where
you want ane to Go", in the
morning, and "Jesus Calls Us"
in the evening. Mrs. Geo. Hess
of Hensall assisted the 'choir in
the morning and chose for her
two solos, "Open Mine Eyes"
and "Have Thine Own' Way
lord". Mrs. Russel Broderick of
Hensall was the evening soloist
and she sang "I .shall not pass
again this way" and "God Un-
derstands".

A 80 -year-old truck driver
was admitted to Victoria (Hospit-
al Tuesday wibh serious head in-
juries received when his tractor -
trailer smashed into a tele-
phone pole at Ridout and Bruce
Sts. ;Lloyd Noakes; of •Hensall,

truck, and the steering mechan-
ism apparently locked as he was
turning a 'corner at the intersec-
tion. The collison 'tore off a
front wheel and ripped out .the
the front springs in the vehicle.
The victim was taken to hos-
pital by a fire department squad
car. His condition was reported
"satisfactory"
