WEBSTER—LOVE
Baskets of gladioli ,and yel-
low 'mums and softly glowing
candles formed the setting for
the 'wedding in Varna United
Church, when Elva Laurette
Love, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Earl Love, Zurich, became the
bride of Grant Reginald Web-
ster, son of Elmer Webster and
the late Mac. Webster, Varna.
The Rev. T. J. Pitt officiated
for the double ring ceremony.
Miss Ellen Love, Hillsgreen,
played traditional wedding artu-
sic and accompanied the soloist,
Robert Graham, of the . RCAF
Station, Clinton.
Given in marriage by her fa-
ther, the bride was lovely in a
ballerina -length gown of Swiss
embroidered net nylon and tulle
with a full tiered skirt, A cor-
onet headdress trimmed with
rhinestones and pearls held her
fingertip illusion veil and she
carried a bouquet of Better
Time red roses.
Miss Marjarie Dowson, Varna,
was matron of honer wearing a
pink net dress with matching
headdress. Miss Nancy Powell,
'Clinton, as bridesmaid, wore
yellow late .over taffeta, with
matching headdress. Miss Norma
Love, Hillsgreen, sister of the
bride, as junior bridesmaid,
wore lilac net over taffeta with
matching headdress. They car-
ried bouquets of baby 'mums.
William Consitt, Hillsgreen,
was best man and Lorne Love,
Hillsgreen, brother of the bride,
and William Dowson, Varna,
ushered.
A reception was held at the
Colonial Inn, Exeter, where the
bride's mother received in a
blue nylon dress, with white ac-
cessories and corsage of red
carnations. The groom's grand-
mother assisted, wearing a
ured mauve dress with white
accessories and yellow corsage.
For a wedding trip to the
Southern States the bride chose
a blue nylon dress, white acces-
sories and corsage of red car-
nations. The couple will live on
the groom's farm east of Varna.

Manitoba, says he has a couple 'Westinghouse is much more in -

CROP REPORT
Haying is approximately 50
per cent completed and because
of dry weather yields are much
below average in the south end
of the County. A general heavy
ram would benefit all crops in
the County. Several growers are
applying anhydrous ammonia to
their corn crops for the first
time this year. A large acreage
of late turnips was seeded dur-
ing the week.
