honors were conferred on the
graduates of Dublin Continua-
tion School. Ushering the guests
were the President and Secre-
tary of the Parent -Teachers'
Association, William Ryan and
James O'Connor.
The graduates were preceded
to their places at the front of
the Church by the pupils of the
school wearing their school col-
ors of purple and gold, while the
choir sang, "God, Father, Power
and Glory". The three girl grad-
uates wore long graceful white
gowns with bandeaus of flowers
and carrying flowers tied with
purplg and gold ribbon. Each
was accompanied by a tiny flow-
er girl also gowned in white.
The single boy graduate had as
his escort a page -boy, they were

anne Goettler; Joan -Marie Mc-
Laughlin with Yvonne Delaney;

Horan. The guest speaker was
Rev, Daniel Coughlin, 'C.S.B.,
St. Michael's College, Toronto,
who first paid a tribute to to the
predominant faith of the mem-
bers of Dublin and St. Colum -
ban parishes. He congratulated
the graduates, their parents and
their teachers. He spoke on the
subject of "Work". He explained
his choice of such a topic by
saying that it is of the utmost
importance that we understand
the true place of work in our
lives. God himself worked for
six days in the creation of the
world. It is part of His plan that
man should work and share in
the great work of Creation, it is
by our players, our work and
our suffering• that we are unit-
ed with Christ and snake up
what is wanted in His suffering.
The graduation diplomas were
conferred by Rev. Dr. Ffoulkes
and Rev. J. McCowell. Dr.
Ffoulkes congratulated the grad-
uates and exhorted them to pre-
serve their Faith as their most
precious possession.
Solemn Benediction followed
with Rev. A. Scalisi, of Mount
Carmel, as Officiant, Rev. J.
McCowell as Deacon, and Rev,
3. F. McConnell, M.M. as Sub -
Deacon. As the graduates march-
ed out of the church the High
SchoolChoir, accompanied by
Mn 13. C. Harley at the organ,
concluded with the inspiring Re-
cessional, "Praise to the Father".
After the church ceremony a
reception was held on the Con-
vent lawn where the graduates
and the teachers received ,the
guests.
A. graduation cake was the
centrepiece on the tea table
which was decorated with silver,
tall white candles and flowers.

John Flannery poured tea.
