MacDonald has an explanation to offer
for his failure, to recognize "CY"
,Flannery, as related in this pupdr
last week.
"There were two reasons," says
Skip. "First, Flannery has grown a
moustache since I played against him
last winter, and, secondly, I couldn't
see him plainly because of the smoke
screen which the other referee, `Butch'
Murney, was throwing up with one of
his special cigars."
