shipment ofyhogs from Huron Coun-
ty fort the .firstsix months of 1R25.
Shipments.listed 'are for 23 weeks.

six months do. not appear as the

this gives a good idea of the per-
centage of select bacon hogs 'being
shipped from the district, The •totals
.are given and the Percentage of sel-
act bacon is 29 •p c, and the percent-
age of chick smooths is 57. Same
sections are running as high as 50
p.c. selects weekly. In •faot, one
shipper in the six months, has
shipped 2,655 with 1,285 selects,
With approximately 40,000 'hogs
marketed in six months, $1,000,000
has 'been distributed amongst the
farmers. This gives an idea .o'f the
irn'portance of the 'hog industry to
Huron County.

Mr. and :Mrs. James Stewart were
called to Toronto to attend the fu-
neral 'of their grandson, son of Mr.
end Mrs, Will Charlesworth,
The following report of the acci-
dent appeared in the Toronto papers:
"Stewart Cherie/worth, lad of 14
years, who obtained work for the
summer holidays at the 'McGee'
grlavel pits, on. Weston Road, •M'ount
Dennis, was killed Saturday at noon,
when he 'wlas 'buried beneath'a large
bank of sand. There was an over-
hanging portion 'of the well of earth,
under width 'the lad was at -work.
Some of the other employees, walk-
ing along the edge of' the embank-
ment dislodged a large section, and it
fell, 'burying Charlesworth beneath
it. Seven minutes elapsed before 'he
was dug out, -end although Dr.,•Gbrd-
iner, Mount Denis, and Constable
Reid worked upon him for some
time, life could not he restored. An
inquest was 'held Monday evening.
