Beattie's Fair, Seaforth, ;$F
RACHAEL GRIEVE.
The death occurred at her home on
James street on Monday, Sept. 15111,
of Miss Rachel Grieve, aged 73 years.
Deceased had been in poor health for
some -tw6 years. She was the young-
est daughter of the late Thomas
Grieve, of McKillop, in which town-
ship she -was born- About twenty
years ago silo moved to Seaforth and
engaged in dressmaking. Her sister,
Christina, died a few months ago.
Miss Grieve was a very titre type of
woman and was active in the ;ripply
department of the W. M. S. of the
Presbyterian church. I-Ier activities
in this stork• \MS recognized some
years ago by a life membership in
the General' Society.
She is survived by two brothers,
William of Minnesota, and Thomas of
Egmondvi•Ile. - The funeral, which
was private, was held on Wednesday
afternoon to hfarpuncey cemetsry.
Rev. Dr. Larkin conducted the
funeral, 'The pallbearers were
Afessrs. W. R. Smith, .1. Dennison,
W. Freeman, J. L. Kerr, J. Martin
and A. Barton.
