The death occurred at her home on James street on Monday, Sept. 15111, of Miss Rachel Grieve, aged 73 years. Deceased had been in poor health for some -tw6 years. She was the young- est daughter of the late Thomas Grieve, of McKillop, in which town- ship she -was born- About twenty years ago silo moved to Seaforth and engaged in dressmaking. Her sister, Christina, died a few months ago. Miss Grieve was a very titre type of woman and was active in the ;ripply department of the W. M. S. of the Presbyterian church. I-Ier activities in this stork• \MS recognized some years ago by a life membership in the General' Society. She is survived by two brothers, William of Minnesota, and Thomas of Egmondvi•Ile. - The funeral, which was private, was held on Wednesday afternoon to hfarpuncey cemetsry. Rev.
