Roderick Park
Roderich Park of 3308 Lake-
shore Drive, Sault St.. Marie,
Michigan, died on Wednesday,
August 6th in the Sault War
Memorial hospital at the age of
98, after an illness of six weeps.
He was born in Cromarty, Ont.,
on Feb, 27th, 1880, and was a son
of the late Mr, and Mrs, Alex.
Park, who operated a planing
Mill in Cromarty, situated on the
corner of the farm of the late MMTr.
Archie McKellar, which borders
on the con, and centre road. He
worked with his father in the
mill and building business until
he was 19 years of age when he
moved with his parents to the
United States and settled in Bad
Axe, Mich., :,and continued his
trade as a carpenter.7 There he
met and married Miss Elizabeth
Ann Rowe, who passed away in
1935. In 1889 he moved to Detroit,
where he worsted in the building
business for many years, Of Iris
family of two sons and two daug-
hters three of then[ survive, Mr.
Harrison R. Park, and Mre, B. U.
Fell of Detroit, and Mrs. H. Al.
'Harrington of Sault Ste. Marie,
where he had made his home for
several years. One son Donald
was killed its an accident in
1989. Also surviving are four
grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren. Mr. Park was a

for his very pleasing personality,
