Mrs. Smalldon read a poem and scrip-• tura reading from Psalm 96 was taken by Mrs. Roy Williamson. Miss Mona Clarke very ably took the topic and a poem was read by Mrs. Harvey Craig. After the dis- cussionperiod the meeting was closed with the singing of hymn 501 "Will your Anchor hold in the storms of Life?" and the Mizpah Benediction. successful bake sale was held and lunch was served by the host- ess and Mrs. M. Hamilton, Mrs. C. Hoegy; Mrs. H. Johnston, Mrs, T. Leeming, Mrs. J. MoNicol and Mrs. D. Muir, and a very enjoy- able half hour spent. Mr'. and Mrs. Jas. ,Tobnston and family of Essex are visiting with Mrs, Silas Johnston at present. Lewis and Billie McNichol are visiting with relatives In Detroit. Mrs, P. Holman of Barrie is visiting with Mrs, Hilda Sellers and Mr. and Mrs. Herb Travis. 1VIr. and Mrs. Walter Broadfoot spent last week with Mr, and Mrs. John Henderson, Seaforth, Miss Ethel and Elmer Dennis and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Dundas agent Sunday with Mrs. R. Dun- das and family at Glencoe. Master Clayton Fraser is spend- ing a few days with his grand- mother, Mrs. Ethel Hackwell. Mrs. 'rime Johnston has re- turned to the village after visit- ing with her daughter and son-in- law, Mr. and Mrs, C. Cummings, in Fergus. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Shannon on Sunday were: Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Watt, of Toronto, and Mrs. Hazel Glow of Valor, Que. Walton congregation will join the Moncrieft Charge in their morning service next Sunday at 11 a.m„ when Rev. H. V. Work- man, Seaforth will be in charge, BRODHAGEN Messrs. Hillebrecht at Concord, Calif, BLAKE Mr. and Mrs. Earl Oesch and family have returned home after a week's vacation to New York, Mies -Margaret Finlay spent an afternoon with Mrs, Mary Hey and Mrs, Archie Mustard, Mr. H. L. Sturges of Exeter. visited with Misses Mary and Elizabeth Finlay. Mr. Harold Finlay and family spent an evening with Mr, and Mrs. Charles Robinson of I'Iills- green, Masters Murray and Bruce Mc- Bride are spending holidays with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs, Roy McBride, Mr. Harold Finlay and family visited with Miss Alice and Mar- garet Finlay of London on Fri- day afternoon. EGMONDVILLE Mrs, John Watson and Mrs. W. E. Haney were in Oshawa last week attending the funeral of their cousin Mrs. John Hislop. Mrs. E. J. Weber accompanied by Mrs, Geo. Kenny and Miss El- eanor Kenney of Oakville has just returned from a trip to Quebec City, the Maritime Provinces, Northern United States and Au- sable Chasm on Lake Champlain., Mr, and Mrs. Don Andrew's, newly-weds, have returned from their wedding trip to Montreal and Quebec City, they will reside in Clinton. Miss Jean Stewart, Miss Nellie Cline and Miss Vera Palmer of Toronto spent the weekend with Miss Laura MacMillan. Mr. and Mrs. Will Finlayson and sons of Lorne Park spent the weekend with Mrs. Jas.
