Guernsey Twilight Meeting-
The
eetingThe Western Counties •Gue'n-
sey Club held a successful twi-
light meeting at the farm of
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Dale on Fri-
day evening, June '7 with about
125 in attendance. !Inspection of
the herd was first on the pro-
gram, then the meeting called to
order by Mr, Lyle Stokes, :Pres.
of the Club, and chairman for
the evening. Mr. Hugh Hill of
Goderich was official judge on
the class of cows and also was
the main speaker of the evening
in the absence of Mr. Doug.
Miles, Agri. Rep. for Huron, On
the heifer class, 'Mr. Glen John-
son of London, Sec. of the club
was judge. He also spoke brief-
ly and assisted by the Seaforth
Dairy Club leaders marked the
score cards. Mrs. Win. Storey
held the highest judging scorn
for ladies and won a set of salt
and pepper in the shape of
Guernsey calves. 'Similar prize
was won by Mr, Delmar Barnes
of London, with highest score
for men. A. box of chocolates
each was won by 'Miss Joan
Coyne of Dublin, and Cecil Bru-
insma of Clinton, both members
of the Seaforth Dairy 'Calf Club,
holding the highest score for
Juniors. Songs by Mr. Bert Pep-
per, and Mr. Heck Kingswell
