Mr. Joe Eckert left Thursday for
the Soo,, Ont., where he Is operating
King's shovel for Currie & Briggs Co.
Mr, John Watson of St. Paul, Minn.,
arrived Saturday to visit his sister,
Miss Watson.
Mrs. L. T. DeLaoey, who spent sev-
eral weeks in Clinton, was a visitor
in town on Tuesday enroute to Tor-
onto where she will spend the winter.

Surviving, in addition to Mrs.
Bales, are three sons, Claude A.
Smale, of Buffalo, and William C.
Steele. Jr., and Ralph S. Smale, of
this city. There also are five grand-
ohildren, Miss Geraldine Smale, Miss
Dorothy Smale, Miss Betty Smale,
Robert E. Boles and William A.
Boles, alt of this city.
Funeral services will be held at 2
o'elock Wednesday afternoon from
his late home, 465 Seventh street,
with burial in Memorial Park ceme-
tery. The Rev. Sylvanus S. Davies,
pastor of St. Paul's Methodist Eels -
copal church, will officiate,

We are pleased to learn that Mrs.
John Murray has returned (tone af-
ter convalescing about six weeks in
Seatorth Hospital, and six weeks
with her daughter, Mire. Frank Evans
in Dublin with a broken arm.
Mr, Fred Eckert had his barn roof
damaged with the late wind storm
and has had it repaired.
Mr. Edwin Leonhardt has been
busy ploughing with his tractor.
Mr. Lewis Duffy, son of Mr. W.
Duffy, has moved to the old Duffy
homestead in our burg, where he
engaged feeding his live stock.
