Part of Stolen Goods Recovered --
Provincial Constable MoC,oy and
Mr. Mark Drysdale motored to
Windsor lost week to identify goods
stolen from the hardware store of
Bonthron & Drysdale. They :brought
.baele Alfred Portland, '39, who was
arrested by the Windsor Police at
Leamington, charged with receiving
stolen lgoods. They regovered over
one hundred boxes of shot gun shells.
The 'prisoner was taken to 'Goderich
county jail pending trial. At date of
writing no other trace of goods has
been found,
Christmas Tree Erected -
'he Community Christmas tree has
been erected in front of the town
hall and presents a very fine appear-
ance. The •distribution of the gifts
will lake place on Friday, Dec. 23rd

the Presbyterian Sablbath school will

The servioes in the local churches
were very well attended on Sunaiy
and excellent music furnished by the
choir. Al Carmel Presbyterian church
the solo parts in the anthems were
taken by Mrs. James Paterson and
Mrs. W. A. Mactaren. Mrs, Alfred
Clarke took the solo in the anthem at
the United Church.
Mr. Leslie of Thorndale is engaged
on this section of the C. N. R. tracks
this week.
