answered by suggestions for Christ-
mas and each member brought a

piano solo by Mrs. Terryberry, vocal
solo, Miss Margaret Crich and a
short talk on the Royal Winter Fare
by Mrs. A. Pepper. The annual re-

in the treasury, a large amount of

PORTER'S HILL
Miss Abell and pupils are very busy
practising for a Christmas concert to
be held in Porter's Hill school on the
evening of Dec. 20th. All are wel-
come.
The young people of Grace church
are preparing a good program of mu-
sic, dialogues, drills, etc., for their
Christmas concert on Friday even-
ing, Dec. 21. A good time is anti-
cipated.
On, Saturday evening last, Mr. and
Mrs. Bert Cox entertained the Junior
Union ball team and their parents to
a very dainty dinner at their home
on the Cut Line. M'r. and Mrs. Cox
are excellent host and hostess. The
evening was spent in contests, mu-
sic, readings, etc. A hearty vote of
thanks was moved by ,Glen Lockhart,
captain of the team, to Mr. and Mrs.
Cox for the pleasant evening and for
M4'. C'ox's courtesy to the team dur-
ing the year. Carl Cox seconded the
motion, to which all responded with
a hearty clap of the hands,

now as if Santa 'could make his
rounds with reindeer and sleighs.
