N., Hamil- ton, spent the week -end with her aunt, Miss Gladys Crich. Mr. and Mrs. T. Rumball and son Orville of Galt are guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. Walker of town. Mrs, O. L. Paisley has gone on a vis- it to her son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. M, Paisley of Kirkland Lake. Mrs, E. H. Wise returned Tuesday af- ter a fortnight's visit with rela- tives at Casalia and Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. W. H. Hellyar was in Bowman- ville over the week -end, owing to the illness of his brother, Mr. John Hellyar. Mrs. S. W. McAuley of Mexico City, Mexico, is spending a fortnight with her aunt, Mrs. Florence French of Clinton. Mrs. H. H. Hill and Mrs. E. Lear of Auburn ' are visiting their sister, Mrs. Wm, Shepherd; Huron Street; and other friends in town. Mr. and Mrs, John Jervis of the Bayfield road and Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Jervis and little daughter visited Friday last with Mr., and Mrs. Gordon Dow of Cromarty. Mrs. WI, T. O'Neil and Mrs. James Scott are in London this week, vis- iting the former's daughter, Miss Jessie O'Neil. Miss Winnie O'Neil motored them to the city Sunday. Rev. Dr. Dougan was in Hensall on Tuesday at the autumn meeting of the Huron Presbytery of the Pres- byterian Church. Mr. Forrest was 'the day delegate from the local church. Mr. Henry .Sloman motored his aunt, Miss Roman, and her friend, Miss Young, to Toronto last week. The ladies were on their way back to New York City, after a visit at Miss Sieman's home here, Mr. Wilfred Grant was called home from Kingston last week owing to the serious illness of his mother, Mrs. W. A. Grant. Mrs. Grant's condition is somewhat improved, her friends are glad to note. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fitzsimons mot, ored to Blenheim, making the trip of one hundred and thirty miles in four and a half hours both going and coming. This was not bad driving for a man of eighty-seven and he was none the worse for it, either. Mr. and .Mrs. George Whittington of Burk's Falls, who have been visit- ing relatives and friends in Clinton and vicinity fora month, left for their home on Tuesday. Huron Presbytery and Pres- byterial (Presbyterian Church) Met in Hen - sail Tuesday The Presbytery of Huron met on Tuesday in St, Paul's, Anglican Church, Hensall. Arrangements were made for the Fall Rally of the Young People's Societies. Reports were re- ceived from the commissioner who attended ethe General Assembly in Toronto Iast June. Other routine business was attended to. The Presbyterial Women's Mission- ary Society of Huron met in Carmel Presbyterian Church, Hensall, on Tuesday. There was a splendid at- tendance, thirteen being present from the Clinton Society, The president, Miss M. T. Jeckell of Exeter spoke at the morning session. In the af- ternoon Mrs. J. IL. Eaton of Orillia was the guest speaker, and spoke on the "Realization of the Vision of 70 Years ago of the Women's Mission.. ary . Society."
