What •man should be exercising the few brain -cells he possesses upon is the pro- per distribution of what wheat he can manage to produce from the soil he controls. o00 "Canadians will become a race of cynics if the Stevens investigation 'lasts much longer," remarks the Sim- coe Reformer, "what with large 'in- comes escaping taxation and straw - 'berry , jam being manufactured from parsnips." Not necessarily. Canadians should -have enough gumption to know that you cannot successfully treat a con- dition until that condition is under- 'stood. When the industrial situation is- thoroughly understood some way -Must be devised, and it willtake both 'brains and courage to do it, by which a more just and equitable di- • `vision of the rewards of labor will be •made amongst the workers, whether '-they be of brain or hand. The good -of this old earth was not created for a favored few, but for the good of mankind. And the forcing o'i -honesty in the manufacture of -food stuffs should be- pos- sible. Its leaders have grown 'reckless in office—drunk with political pap and heartless as to the fate of the people. They paid $40,000, to three favorite's for "advice" on how to sell a Bond Issue. Even Hon- est George "forgot" he had $25,000 of nearly worthless Abitibi Bonds until after Hydro made them valuable.
